Trinity is a growing church with a big heart.  We celebrate diversity--both among ourselves and in the world we live in. We range in age from newborn to over 90, with an average age around 38. A few of us have attended Trinity since childhood, and have raised our own children here. Many others are new to the city or the neighborhood and are just beginning to feel at home at Trinity. Many of us come from Aurora, but several of us are known to travel, we have members who join us from St. Charles, Naperville, Oswego, Plainfield, Leland.  Over the past five years, we have welcomed a number of young, single people as well as families with young children and, simultaneously, many empty-nesters.

Many parishioners were not raised in the Episcopal tradition. Indeed, some of us didn't attend church at all as children and are surprised to find ourselves encountering God through the institutional church. We turn up each week imbued both with skepticism and with hope, knowing that what we will find at Trinity will be honest and provocative. Services and sermons are rooted both in tradition and in the real world, the spirit is joyful and fun, and the congregation is warm and welcoming.

Trinity’s unique spirit also extends into the surrounding neighborhood through our commitment to helping others. We currently dedicate a large percentage of our operating budge to outreach. Our Sandwich Board program is also funded in part by grants from the City of Aurora, civic organizations, other Episcopal parishes, and individuals. Every Thursday, parishioners and volunteers from neighboring churches prepare a meal for up to 150 people, and join the conversations and lives of those who come seeking connection and support, as well as food.  We begin with thanksgiving in a service that grounds our ministry in God’s love, which we seek to reflect to the community.Trinity is truly a church that changes lives, and we hope that you will join us as we continue to grow in grace, spirituality, and community involvement. Come at lunchtime any Thursday to volunteer at our soup kitchen. Our Sunday morning service is at 9 with choir, nursery care and our children's church school, our coffee hour is at 10:15.
