Denzil and Lisa Luckritz

Denzil John Luckritz was born and raised in Clinton, Iowa, and is a life-long Episcopalian. He moved to Colorado to attend the University of Northern Colorado. He has an undergraduate degree in Sociology and completed all course work for a Masters in Sociology.

Denzil met his wife, Lisa, in college and married her a year or so later at Grace Episcopal Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado. They just celebrated 38 years of marriage on August 6th.

Denzil taught Sociology as a graduate student at the University of Northern Colorado while Lisa finished her bachelor’s degree. After graduation, he pursued a career in retail, becoming a district manager of seven stores in the Denver Metro area.

They are blessed with two daughters, who are now married with families of their own. Their daughters currently live in New Jersey and Virginia, respectively. Denzil and Lisa are proud grandparents of two young grandsons.

Denzil received his Masters in Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois, in 1989. He served as a Curate at St. James the Less, Northfield, Illinois before moving to Lockport, Illinois, to serve as Vicar of St. John the Evangelist, staying for twenty years in that role. He has served the last five years as Rector of St. Peter’s Church, Osterville, Massachusetts. He eagerly looks forward to becoming actively involved in the life of Trinity Church and coming to know everyone.

Lisa has worked in a variety of office settings over the past 38 years: manufacturing, retail, parish -- serving both Episcopal and Roman Catholic churches – and most recently medical. She hopes to find work in the Chicagoland area.

In his free time, Denzil enjoys playing the piano, opera, traveling, gardening, and is an avid HO train enthusiast. Lisa enjoys creating art, with a focus on calligraphy, loves reading and spending time with family. They share their home with two small pets with big personalities: Isabel, a 5-lb Pomeranian, and Mouse, an 8-lb American tabby cat.
