Every Thursday, 52 weeks per year, Trinity hosts the Sandwich Board. The Sandwich Board is a collaboration of many Episcopal Churches and 1 from another denomination from all over the Western Suburbs. Each Church hosts the meal either on a monthly or every other month basis. The churches involved are: Trinity Church, Aurora; St. David, Aurora; St John, Naperville; St. Andrew, Downers Grove; Ste. Mark, Geneva; Grace, Hinsdale - Open; St. Charles; The Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva .
When the COVID shut down happened in March, The Sandwich Board continued by giving out bag lunches every Thursday from 11:30 to 1 pm. After a slow start, weekly attendance is now over 400 people every week. The involved Churches continue their support.
The Sandwich Board was incorporated in 2020 and is now its own not-for- profit agency.
On March 16, 2020, the Sandwich Board celebrated 35 years of service to Aurora's people in need. The Sandwich Board got its name from the early months in Lent in 1985 when the meal consisted of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. In 2023 15,188 lunches were served.
